Every time you walk up the steps of the Art Gallery of NSW the building prepares you for as sophisticated and artistic experience. Rembrandt Live is more than capable of meeting these expectations.

The current exhibition of the 7th century paintings of the Dutch Golden Age are enhanced by the addition of members of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Directed by John Bell with musical curator Paul Dyer these musicians, singers, dancers and clowns wander through the exhibition with us stopping in each room to play instruments, sing, dance of add a little clown-work to the evening.

It is a pleasure to wander through this exhibition and soak in some of the classic art of the time, but to be able to enjoy viewing it with live music from the era echoing off the paintings or watch as some fantastic period instruments are played takes this experience to another level. You must go and enjoy this.
