An unforgettable Sunday night out at the Opera House, with the angelic and captivating, Kate Miller-Heidke. She is truly remarkable. And if not a fan before, you will be after seeing her live.

Kate is an award-winning music artist who combines her love and talent for opera with the genres of folk, alternative and contemporary pop. Rising to stardom in the beginning of the 21st century, her performances have proven to be timeless and enticing.

The show opened with The Devil wears a suit. Immediately, the audience is drawn into the atmosphere with Kate’s entrancing vocals her unique group of talented musicians, Jess Hitchcock (vocals, piano and synthesizer), Keir Nuttal (guitar and vocals) and Isaac Hayward (cello, piano and guitar). The four artists on stage together create a dreamlike sequence of thunderous keys, soaring strings and angelic vocals.

Miller-Heidke performed in this year’s Eurovision in Israel, performing her captivating single Zero-Gravity. Like an angel with a crown, she performed this song to the audience where her operatic singing and connection gives goosebumps.

Not only do these four artists create another world of music for the audience to become lost in, but all, especially Miller-Heidke, have a great sense of humour and a down-to-earth approach when addressing their audience between songs. Miller Heidke proves that she is an Aussie girl at heart and isn’t afraid to be herself with the audience as she shares stories of her past reviews and interactions in her life. It only makes her more loveable..

Miller-Heidke as Rhonda and Hitchcock as Muriel also flawlessly performed You’re Amazing from Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical. This original score was penned by Miller-Heidke and Kier Nuttall and was the recipient of Best Original Score In A Mainstage Production at the Sydney Theatre Awards. They were surperbly backed, once again by a band with extensive talent.

Miller-Heidke and her band have a way of personalising the musical experience with the audience. Lifting us up and keeping us fully engageed.

Truly one-of-a-kind experience with a group of one-of-a-kind artists.
