Located in the heart of Wollongong’s Arts Precinct, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) is the region’s most loved and respected venue for the performing arts. Comprising three versatile spaces, it plays host to a variety of events, from internationally renowned theatre, music and comedy to a wide range of community events.

Bob Peet Studio
A multipurpose ‘black box’ studio for training, theatre or project development and shows with audiences up to 80 people. Measuring 8.4 metres by 10.45 metres with a high ceiling, the Bob Peet Studio is a versatile space equipped with lighting grid, power and AV options.

Bruce Gordon Theatre
An intimate alternative to the IMB Theatre, the stylish Bruce Gordon Theatre offers two levels, balcony seating, wheelchair and standing room only spaces.

The theatre is also equipped with a T-switch hearing loop, a versatile lighting rig, PA and optional cabaret seating.

The venue is perfect for minimalist to full scale theatre productions, cabaret, comedy, intimate musical and dance productions, conferences and community events.

IMB THEATRE
In the classic tradition of the proscenium arch lyric theatre, the IMB Theatre’s steeply raked auditorium ensures every seat is the best in the house. With excellent sight lines, the audience is immersed in the action on stage.

With fixed raked seating that can be supplemented by additional seating in front of the stage area, this space is ideal for theatre and dance performances. Affordable hiring rates make it an ideal venue for smaller companies to present new work.
