By Patricia Cornelius
Set in a landscape of deep crevasses, labyrinths of ice and vast plateaus, this treacherous terrain is the setting for Scott’s ill-fated Antarctic expedition and a powerful metaphor for ageing.
As Scott leads his group across the unknown and mysterious landscape, he reaches desperately for meaning and purpose.
Poignant, sublime and brimming with humour and compassion, Cornelius grapples with existential question of loss, death, fulfilment, regret and the impulse to rage against the dying of the light.
