Casting Call – Asylum

ASYLUM AUDITIONS

Asylum is a new play written by Ruth Fingret and presented by Brave New Word theatre company about four people, and the very different ways in which they are all seeking asylum in their own lives. The show will perform at Comber Street Studios, Paddington from November 15th till the 25th.

We are holding open auditions for all parts.


CRAIG: An Australian Immigration Officer and single father. Age 45+

VICKI: Craig’s ex wife, newly returned and wishing to reconnect with the family she left. Age 40+

HAJIR: An Lebanese citizen applying for a protection visa. Male Age 24

JASON: Craig and Vicki’s son, resentful at both parents and a stoner. Constantly in trouble with the law. Age 23

POLICE OFFICER: Can be any gender or age.


Auditions will be held on September 29th and 30th from 6pm till 9:30pm, with each audition will be given a 10 minute slot. To apply for an audition, please email your CV, a headshot and your preferred character / timeslot to info@bnwtheatre.com.au
